This private course, for just you and your partner, lasts three days. It takes you through three steps needed to restore intimacy, trust and empathy – vital ingredients in sustaining respect, kindness and love.

Unlike psychotherapy, it’s a structured programme. Each step is intentional. This contrasts significantly with the typical weekly hour which is often too little time to gain traction and build real and lasting change into the relationship.
These three steps are …

-
Clear communication.
-
Letting go of past grievances.
-
Visioning a positive future and the tools to sustain it.
This is equally valuable whether the couple are committed to staying together, when one or both parties are ambivalent about their future status or, (maybe especially) when they are thinking seriously about separation.

What’s the intention?

-
To re-establish open hearted connection and trust
-
To learn tools which support you with communication and problem solving.
-
To grow the relationship into something you both want it to be.
And afterwards?
Matthew works in a practical, tools-based way. Couples participating in this course will leave with
-
Explicit agreements and commitments for positive change.
-
Tools to work with independently so the learning can be integrated into your lives.
-
Simple rituals for continued growth and satisfaction.
The course fee includes a two hour, follow up zoom call two months later. During this, Matthew will facilitate a review of what has gone well, what hasn’t and what would help improve things further.

What if your partner is not keen?
Where one partner are unwilling or unavailable, I am available to support individuals with their relational lives in a one to one setting. There is much that can be done to support clear communication and building trust even on a unilateral basis.
